A Beautiful Life to Live
Our time is short
A gaze is long
A blink of an eye
And it will be gone
So sing your songs
Gather and be merry
Love effervescently
You can’t stop the rain when it falls
So enjoy raindrop races
Don’t ponder too long in the past
The seasons guaranteed to change
Your life is now
Our time is precious
A grateful gaze
What a beautiful life to live
Jade Marielan is a member of Superior’s Commission on Communities of Color and is a proud member of the TPAC. Jade is a Superior Public Arts Grant recipient and will host a writer’s event, “Frame It” in Superior Wisconsin May 2026. Jade has been a member of the Duluth Poetry Chapter since 2022 and has begun hanging out with the Duluth Failed Poets Society! Jade teaches piano at Jade Piano Keys LLC in Superior WI. Her fiancé Ian’s photos are featured in the Nemadji Review! They have one old man dog, Shadow.
