Bud Brand

October

As nature weaves
a magic wand
to make an autumn breeze,
the maple leaves
are bashfully
seen blushing in the trees.

A 1970 graduate of UW-Superior, Bud Brand has had 115 works of poetry published in a number of newspapers and in more than fifty books and anthologies, earning him the moniker of the Wisconsin Wordsmith. He and his wife Donna (nee Evans) recently celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary.
